Grouping and Combining Threshold conditions in the advanced thresholds editor

You can group and combine threshold conditions in the Advanced Thresholds Editor.

Pre-requisites:

To group and combine threshold conditions in the Advanced Thresholds Editor

  1. In the Editor panel, right-click an attribute or metric that contains a threshold and choose Thresholds. If you select an attribute, the Advanced Thresholds Editor opens. If you select a metric, the Quick Thresholds Editor opens.
  2. If you opened the Quick Thresholds Editor, select the Advanced Thresholds Editor link to open the Advanced Thresholds Editor.
  3. You can change the operator used to combine multiple conditions in a threshold. Click the operator displayed between the conditions, then select the operator to use to combine the conditions, such as AND or AND NOT.
  4. You can group conditions together. Grouped conditions are evaluated together when a filter is applied to the data.
    To group conditions, hover over the area between the two conditions and click Group conditions.
    or
    To ungroup conditions, hover over the area between the two conditions and click Ungroup Conditions.
    Note: A threshold must contain at least three conditions to group conditions.
  5. You can change the order in which conditions are evaluated. Drag a condition to a new location in the list. Conditions at the top of the list are evaluated before conditions at the bottom of the list.
