Consolidating unused attribute elements into a new element group

When you create an element group, any attribute elements not used in the element group are grouped together. These attribute elements appear individually by default, but you can choose to consolidate the remaining attribute elements into an element group. The default name of the consolidated element group is All Others.

To Consolidate Unused Elements Into an Element Group

  1. Open the dossier you want to modify.
  2. Click the visualization that contains the group.
  3. In the visualization's Editor panel, right-click the grouped attribute and choose Edit Groups. The Group Editor opens.
  4. In the Display all other elements as drop-down, select a consolidated group.
  5. Double-click the All Others consolidated group. Enter a new, descriptive name and press the Enter key.
  6. Click Save.
